The Little Ladies of Bisque Row 🇬🇧
Somewhere down a crooked little lane in an old English village sits Bisque Row—seven tiny houses, seven rather peculiar little residents, and enough neighborhood gossip to last a century.
These sweet antique bisque dolls are each being sold separately, but I’m convinced they’ve known one another forever. 🤍
#1 — ❌❌SOLDEdith of No. 1 Bisque Row
Edith is the sensible one. Always properly dressed, always watching what everyone else is doing, and absolutely the first to notice when someone unfamiliar walks down the lane. Her little jointed arms and original-looking old silk skirt make her especially sweet.
Approx 2” tall, some faded paint, good shape. $19
#2 — Millie of No. 2
Tiny Millie spends most afternoons soaking in her tub on the balcony, where she has an excellent view of everything happening next door. She looks innocent. She is not. Her worn little face and wispy blonde hair are just perfect. Approx 3” tall, some faded paint, good shape. $18
#3 — ❌❌SOLDBeatrice of No. 3
Oh Little Beatrice . She is the epitome of grungy perfection. Chips, dings and dents from a full life along with her gauzey dress make her the perfect addition to a woods and whites hutch 🤎
Approx 1.5” tall, some faded paint, chipped legs and arms. $15
#4 — Poppy of No. 4
You simply cannot miss Poppy. While the rest of Bisque Row favors sensible neutrals, Poppy turned up one morning with pink hair and an orange silk skirt and has been the subject of conversation ever since. Naturally, she couldn’t care less. 2.5” of fabulous, no issues. $22
#5 — ❌❌SOLD- Mabel of No. 5
Sweet little Mabel is the neighborhood romantic. She saves scraps of pretty fabric, presses flowers between the pages of old books and is forever sewing something from whatever she can find. Her wonderfully tattered little floral dress may just be my favorite. 2.5”, no issues. $19
#6 — Agnes of No. 6
Agnes is the resident busybody and appears to have misplaced her clothing altogether. 😂 She stands at her window every morning pretending not to watch the neighbors while knowing absolutely everything happening from No. 1 through No. 7. Jointed arms and the sweetest painted face. 2.5” and sweet as pie. 🥧 Faded paint, no other issues. $22
#7 — ❌❌SOLD Winnie of No. 7
Little Winnie lives at the very end of Bisque Row. She’s the mischievous one—recognizable by her jaunty yellow cap, tiny silk skirt and the suspicious blue marks on her shoes. Nobody knows where she’s been, and Winnie certainly isn’t telling. She is 2” of cute! Some faded paint and blue coloring on her feet, lower body and dress. $18
Seven tiny antique bisque characters, each wonderfully imperfect with age, old painted details, worn clothing and all the quirky little differences that make these early dolls so charming.
