Today was a great day in the shop…I got to see many friendly faces and lots of my favorite kiddos ✨
After I closed up, I drove down to Skandia to Isaac Behrens to harvest or sweetgrass.
The temp was a delightful 53F.” Misty and rainy…the leaves changing…✨it was so beautiful. A perfect fall day to connect with this medicine.

Cloverland Farm is also where we get the sheepskins and custom herbal blends that we offer in the shop! I feel so lucky that we have the privilege to access so much abundance and to have the opportunity to share it with community.

I was harvesting for the upcoming annual Sault Tribe Business Alliance conference— this wiingashk is one of the four medicines in Ojibwe tradition, which will be part of the offerings we make to the speakers and sponsors. I am grateful to be serving a 3 year term on the board of the STBA.
If you are a tribal business, aspiring entrepreneur, work with tribal owned businesses, or are just someone who is interested in cultivating an understanding of traditional Anishinaabe business practices, I cannot recommend enough joining the STBA & attending the conference. It’s open to all, including tribal & non-tribal folks. It is such an incredible event, and has transformed the way I view running a business.
