Happy Holidays, everyone! It’s been a while…. My Etsy shop is open again during the holiday season with a handful of Christmas stockings, scarves, kids aprons, tea towels, pillow cases, and more. I would really like to find out what all of you are interested in me custom making for you. Comment below and include any pictures or links if you have them. I have loads of fabric to choose from band can also make custom fabric for you through Spoonflower or other sources. Check out some of the items I’ve made by looking through the photos in this post as well as in past posts on this page. If you’re looking for a custom order or even just have an idea and want to discuss it, send a DM to me. Thank you all for your support the past couple of years.

I’ve never shared others’ work on this page before, but I just came across this quilt and am completely in awe. As a quilter, I can totally appreciate the time, effort, and love that went into HANDSEWING this gorgeous work of art, as well as a lot of swearing, ripping seams, ironing and cutting fabric. The amount of time it must have taken to just decide on color gradients of quilt blocks must have taken a million different placements before putting it all together. But read the description to find out more. It took the quilter 3 1/2 years… YEARS!!!! of 20-50 hour work weeks to finish this quilt. And the 1/2” hexagons: think of how small those are to cut and sew - to make 12,256 of them!!!! JUST WOW! 🤩😍 🧵 🪡

Quilter Cheryl See won the AQS Hand Workmanship Award at the 2012 Paducah Quilt Show with her STAR STRUCK quilt. Cheryl worked 20 to 50 hours a week for 3 1/2 years making the quilt — it features 12,256 1/2" hexagons, 63 large circles, 633 small circles, 387 ovals, and an unknown number of beads.

The purchase award fulfilled one of Cheryl's goals, to have a quilt in The National Quilt Museum collection.
