I haven't been doing as much quilting this fall and winter as I have been working toward achieving a real estate license but I did just finish this queen size quilt for a client in Pennsylvania tonight. She picked all the fabrics and shipped them to me just before Christmas. The top fabric is almost like a canvas. It is VERY HEAVY so I did not hang to photograph it. It will be part of her decor next year.

The quilt turned out absolutely perfect! It is exactly what I was looking for. Great colors and excellent quality. The cats agree wholeheartedly.

My customer in Texas requested lavender, dark purple and light mint or grass green. She added that she LOVES florals so this 70x83" full size rag quilt checks all her boxes. Only, I kind of want to keep it for myself now. 😍

Next up: A mama to be in Arizona has requested a quilt for her little girl with cactus, soft pink and soft sage. The example she sent me of one that she liked also had some yellow in it. I sent her some options and she has settled on these fabrics. Overtly, babyish styles don't seem to be the fashion at the moment. Hooray for sophisticated babies! 😉 😊🌵😊 😉

This is my "burn the midnight oil" project for the week. Baby shower is on Saturday and I have had SO much trouble getting the custom fabric in time. At long last it looks like that will arrive tomorrow so I took a chance and purchased the other fabrics today. Cross your fingers that they will match well. My assignment for this is to make a crib sized quilt that is not overtly "baby girly girlish." The nursery is beige and the couple is into everything country so to support those themes we have the beige gingham and a faint barnwood pattern background behind the peach flowers. The Sophie Jean fabric is also peach. We do not know what baby Sophie Jean likes yet but Mama does not care for bubblegum pink. The subtle flowers in the beige fabric also have some flowers scattered throughout that shimmer in the light so there's just a hint of glam but still in a muted country way.
