Thrifty Relief is OPEN this weekend!

Come see us today, Friday August 7th, and Saturday August 8th from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM at 2901 South Center Street in Marshalltown, behind Arona Home Essentials.

We continue to get new donations and merchandise in every week, so there is always something different to find. Stop in and shop furniture, home décor, clothing, household items, electronics, and more—including plenty of brand-new merchandise we've recently added to the store.

And this month, your support is helping us prepare for something we're especially excited about—our Step Into Success Back-to-School Event on Saturday, August 15th! We're preparing to help 200 local kids head into the new school year with brand-new shoes, backpacks, and the school supplies they need for grades 1–8. This is exactly the kind of community project your purchases at Thrifty Relief help make possible.

100% of the money raised through Thrifty Relief goes back into our mission, supporting families and community projects right here at home.

We're excited to announce our first annual Step Into Success – Back-to-School Shoe Giveaway!
Thanks to your continued support, we'll be providing $10,000 worth of brand-new shoes, along with school supplies and backpacks for students in grades 1–8, to local children in need before they head back to school.

Our goal is to help 200 children walk into the new school year with confidence, knowing they have the shoes and supplies they need to succeed.

Requirements to Receive Shoes • No pre-sign-up required
• Must be receiving some form of government assistance (SNAP, WIC, HUD, FIP, DHS letter, or school counselor referral)
• Must bring proof for each child (birth certificate, school ID, medical insurance card, etc.)
• Child must live in your household and be financially supported by you
• One pair of shoes per child
• No duplicate check-ins for the same child

This event is a perfect example of what happens when a community comes together. Your donations and purchases at Thrifty Relief don't just keep items out of the landfill—they create opportunities, meet real needs, and directly impact families right here in Marshall County.

Something BIG has arrived at Thrifty Relief!

We'll be open Friday, July 31st and Saturday, August 1st from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at 2901 South Center Street in Marshalltown (behind Arona Home Essentials).

This week we received a huge shipment of brand-new merchandise, and we've been busy getting it out on the sales floor. You'll find:
