Gigi's Crafts and Keepsakes Transforming the clothes and items of your loved one into a custom made one of a kind keepsake. All fabric and knitted items are handmade by myself.

My husband passed away suddenly in September 2012 and I was devastated. I had no idea what to do with his clothing hanging in the closet. I had my children pick some items that they wanted and many items stayed. I still had no idea what to do. I thought about it and decided to make quilts from his clothing for my children and give the quilts to them as Christmas presents. The look on their faces w

hen each one received their quilt was priceless. I have decided that I would like to do the same thing for other people. You will give me items from your loved one and I will transform them into a keepsake for you to cherish. This does not need to be items from someone who has passed, maybe you would like to make your child's favorite blankie into a teddy bear or the team t-shirts into a quilt for your son or daughter.

It is a beautiful snowy day and time for some updates!

I haven't posted in a while so I thought I would catch everyone up. I was a full time teacher for twenty-two years in Kindergarten and two years in Preschool. While I absolutely loved teaching, I retired at the end of the 2024-2025 school year. I know very well that time is something that we do not get a lot of, so I retired.

I spent most of the summer traveling with my husband while he worked. I began substituting a few days each month because I loved my teaching job. But... I absolutely do LOVE being retired and I spend my days doing whatever I want to do!

I have been organizing my sewing room, finishing projects, trying out new projects, and making items for family and new friends. I'll post more once they are delivered.

Now that I have some more time, I will be working harder to post more on this page. Sewing is my therapy and it is good for my soul. Thank you so much for being part of my life. ❤️

I would love to stop in and thank everyone for their support! I love working on your projects. Many of you may not know, I am a Kindergarten teacher and will be switching to preschool next year! I worked on the muddy yard for a bit and now I will be doing some sewing before prepping my week of Kindergarten. I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful day!
