Farmers Markets start next month. Come see me at on Saturdays at the Charlestown Pop Up Market on the square. Then on Wednesdays at the Charlestown Farmers Market at the Presbyterian Church on Monroe. I’ve got your honey, spicy honey, cinnamon honey, creamed honey and honey peanut butter. Plus beeswax candles and other soy candles. Soaps, lotions and lip balm all made with natural products from our bees. Hope to see you soon!

Hello. I’m the Dandelion. Sorry for "ruining" your HOA-approved lawn.
You spend $200 a year trying to kill me, but I’m the most important plant in your yard right now. Most flowers haven't woken up yet. I’m the only "grocery store" open for the bees that survived the winter.
I provide early-season nectar for 50+ species of pollinators.
My deep roots also pull minerals up from the core of the earth to help your grass grow. I’m a doctor for your soil.
What to do:
Let me bloom! Once the clover and the fruit trees start flowering in a few weeks, you can mow me down. But for now, I’m a life-saver.
I’m sorry I’m "stubborn."
But the bees are alive this spring because of me.

Hello everyone. You may be running low on honey at this point. If so, keep us in mind. We have been beekeeping for years and our honey is FANTASTIC! Raw, natural, unfiltered. Hives local, never heated. You get all the wonderful natural benefits. In addition to basic, straight from the hive honey we have cinnamon infused honey, spicy honey, creamed honey and honey peanut butter, plus comb honey. The farmers markets will begin in a couple months, but if you need to restock before that you can pick up at my home (call first 812-207-8141), at the Rising Roost of Happy Chicken Hideaway on Hwy 3 next to the Concrete Lady in Charlestown or at Linda’s Diner and General Store on Hwy 3 in Marysville and finally at Geek Out Cafe in Sellersburg.
