Cool story.. Our Māori relatives are visiting this week all the way from New Zealand. I remember hearing about them growing up but I didn’t understand the significance of that until I got older.
I made this skirt a month ago but didn’t feel inclined to sell it yet so I lowkey held onto it. Sounds lame but when I heard her speak I knew it was hers so I gifted it to her. Come to find out that’s her color! Sure enough, her nails matched. Her accessories/jewelry matched. Down to the cultural tattoo on her chin, matched. We both started tearing up. That skirt was hers before I even made it 🖤💙💚🤍🌊🙏🏼
