✨shades of citrus 2.0✨spectacular, right? Did you know that your acrylic templates for the will also work with the ? Love how this quilt is packed with curves, Ombre and multiple design elements…it definitely has my attention 💕 a perfect spring make.

✨stunning . captivating . gorgeous . dramatic all of the words I think of when I look at this quilt…I don’t get many quilts with black backgrounds and this one blew me away…double wedding ring holds special memories for me as my grandmother started hand piecing one and I finished piecing it for her on a machine years ago 💕

✨1st quilt…I decided to share a few 1st quilts, first quilts I’ve given to others. I’ve shared over the years the first quilt I made as an adult, first longarmed quilt and thought this year we could walk through the first quilts I’ve given loved ones….
First quilt I made for our camping adventures, unicorn quit for my niece, first Longarmed quilt (also my moms), first quilt for my first born (freezer paper appliqué), 2nd quilt for my grandma (can’t find the first one!), first quilt for my brother and SIL, 3rd quilt for my youngest son (ie, others were before phones with cameras 🤣) 1st quilt for my dad (flag) and 1st quilt for my other niece (puppies). 💕
So much love went into all of these. I love gifting things from the heart and letting the fabric and the design tell the story…as someone who often struggles to verbalize this is a special way to connect ❤️

✨introductions✨
Hello my quilty friends..I’m Sara … today is day 1 of Quiltfest2025 and it’s always fun to see all the new faces.
This year is the beginning of my 3rd year longarming and I couldn’t be more grateful for the friends and community it provides. 💕
I’ve been sewing or crafting of some sort since I was little..quilting became more relevant when my kids were babies (20 years ago…eek). I watched my grandma hand sew when I was younger using cardboard templates and a no. #2 pencil to mark seam allowance. She had one spool of thread and a box that held just enough fabric for the quilt….my how times have changed 🧵🪡 I think this may have been where my deep love for EPP came from. I enjoy slow stitching as much or more than machine piecing.
I’m an introvert, icebreakers make me break out in a cold sweat, one on one I like to have meaningful conversations and I love to listen. Fun fact : I was so shy I didn’t speak out loud my entire kindergarten year.
I am a human and dog mom…love running and reading. You won’t find me in the kitchen unless my family is starving. I’m left-handed, fairly ambidextrous and have a pretty balanced brain, I love numbers and color.
I’d love to meet you, quilt for you or go for a run!

✨let’s all just take a moment to admire the beauty of this quilt : the color and design, how the backing pops, the artistic talent and work that went into the finished result…it stopped me in my tracks when I opened this package from Teanna….so grateful I get to be a small part of the magic that is quilting✨

✨here it is✨ Melinda crushes the king size quilts and this one did not disappoint…I love the contrast of the bright patterns against the white…it’s going to be a perfect spring / summer quilt…I was so excited when she chose the abundance pantograph, it’s one of my favorites 💕
