throwback to the early days of Creek+Elm, when I cut every single pair by hand and used my grandpa’s old leather punch to make the holes. 😅
a lot has changed since then. These days, the laser does most of the cutting (and makes MUCH nicer holes), which means I can make more earrings, try more complicated designs, and spend a lot less time squeezing that leather punch.
but the part that matters hasn’t really changed.
every pair still starts here at home. I still choose the materials, work out the designs, assemble every pair by hand, and probably spend way too long deciding which cork looks best with which piece of walnut.
better tools. Same hands. Same little jewelry business. ❤️
