Do you ever wonder where we get the products we sell? A lot of it comes from estate sales. Additionally, Luma has cultivated a network of sellers across the country. We make multiple trips a year to places like North Carolina, New Mexico, and Vegas to name a few in order to maintain a variety for you. Is there anything you’d like to see more of?

It’s fun fact Friday! Have an amazing weekend!

The first known piece of antique furniture is over 5,000 years old. This ancient Egyptian stool, made of wood and decorated with intricate carvings, is now housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Get to know Luma! Luma is veteran owned. Luis and Mary Aponte share a love for vintage collectibles and antiques.

Get to know us better:

Luis is an Army veteran and Mary is a Navy veteran. The Army-Navy game is an exciting day in our house! 🤣 Luis was born and raised in Puerto Rico, except for a few years he spent in the Bronx. Mary was born in Illinois, and grew up mostly in upstate New York, but lived in a total of 5 states before graduating high school.

Luis holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice & Criminology with a minor in Social Work. He also has an MBA. Mary has a bachelor’s degree in Community Advocacy & Social Policy with a minor in Criminal Justice & Criminology. She has a master’s degree in Social Work and is currently completing her PhD in Forensic Psychology.

Luis and Mary have a blended family including 3 daughters, 2 sons and 2 grandchildren and family is very important to them. As a family, they enjoy attending sporting events, shopping, movies and traveling amongst many other activities.
