Beth Bell Designs

Beth Bell Designs I create one-of-a-kind gowns and dresses for women who want to be remembered! Carolina Bell Designs is named after my very stylish 19 year old daughter.

She has a very distinctive look and is very confident in how she carries herself. Her picture is below. You can see why she is the inspiration for my business. I have been designing clothing and costumes since the late 1980s. I have my AAS degree in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing from Alamance Community College, my BS degree in Clothing & Textiles from Appalachian State University, my MAT deg

ree in Family & Consumer Sciences Education from North Carolina A & T University, and my PhD in Consumer, Apparel, Retail Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Obviously that makes me a Carolina girl (which also explains my daughter’s name)! I have been teaching fashion and interior design for 13 years at both the high school and post-secondary level. Please contact me if you have any specific fashion or interiors needs: from pattern making, design, creating, styling, or image consulting!

Our Story

Beth Bell Designs, formerly Carolina Bell Designs, is named after my very stylish 23 year old daughter. She wants her name back so I guess I will be using my own name now! She has a very distinctive look and is very confident in how she carries herself. Her picture is below. You can see why she is the inspiration for my business. I have been designing clothing and costumes since the late 1980s. I have my AAS degree in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing from Alamance Community College, my BS degree in Clothing & Textiles from Appalachian State University, my MAT degree in Family & Consumer Sciences Education from North Carolina A & T University, and my PhD in Consumer, Apparel, Retail Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Obviously that makes me a Carolina girl (which also explains my daughter’s name)! I have been teaching fashion and interior design for 13 years at both the high school and post-secondary level.
