Kristin found a navy blue velvet gown with beaded details for her December wedding.

I adjusted the fit of the front neckline, shortened the straps, shortened the waist length, hemmed the sleeves, added boning, and hemmed the length of her gown.

Ashley found her Essense of Australia bridal gown at Radiant Bride for her August wedding.

I adjusted the fit of the bodice, shortened the straps, added lace appliques to the bodice, hemmed the length, and added 3-point over bustle to her gown.

Congratulations, Ashley! It is amazing what several lace appliques can do to make a bodice more comfortable to wear. I enjoyed working on the lace work and perfecting the fit of this dress. Thank you for trusting me with your bridal alterations!

Kyley found her Madi Lane Bridal gown from Radiant Bride for her August wedding.

I shortened the straps, hemmed the length, added a 5-point over bustle, and created and sewed in a lighthouse embroidery made from her Mom's bridal gown.

Congratulations, Kyley! Thank you for trusting me with your bridal alterations. I loved working on the intricate lace work on this gown. The length was shortened quite a bit and modifying the proportions and the bustle were my favorite part of this job.

I modified Olivia's Mom's veil from a headband to a comb, hemmed the length, and added a 7 point over-bustle to her gown.

I reshaped boning in the bodice. lined the front bodice, shortened and relocated the straps, removed a crinoline layer, hemmed the length, and added a 5 point box-bustle to her gown.

Emily found her Stella York bridal gown at Luxe Redux Bridal for her September wedding.

I created custom lace cap sleeves, hemmed the length, and added a 2 point bustle to her gown. Emily also wore a white crepe dress for her church ceremony. I shortened the straps and hemmed the length.

Congratulations, Emily! My favorite part of working on your dress was creating the cap sleeves. It's amazing how something so small can change the look and feel of a dress.

Alyssa found a bright pink sequin dress to wear to The Wind Chime Ball for the Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation. This local foundation provides help to families affected by breast cancer.

I added lacework to the bodice, added straps, and hemmed the length.

Erin chose a black neoprene fabric and a layered chiffon fabric for her custom bridal gown for her November wedding at The Marble Room.

We sourced a ton of fabrics to find the right mixture. From the beginning of the process Erin knew she wanted a fabric with the ability to be form fitting but functional. She also knew she wanted a fabric with dimension or texture somewhere in the design.

The original sketch shows a high neckline and an asymmetrical seam at the knees, which was the original goal. During the custom design process I sew mockups to check fit and design elements. We decided to straighten the asymmetrical seam and to lower the neckline for a more dramatic effect.

The dress features a high mandarin collar, chiffon cuffs with button and loop closure, a horse hair braid hem, and a capelet constructed out of the layered chiffon.

This project has my whole heart! Congratulations, Erin! Thank you so much for trusting me with your custom bridal gown! You were decisive and incredibly good at communicating your preferences which, made the design process a dream.

Erin found her mikado Morilee bridal gown at Abbott's Bridal and Formalwear for her September wedding.

I adjusted the fit of the bodice, tacked the slit lower, adjusted the boning in the bodice, hemmed the length, and added a 3 point over-bustle to her gown.

Congratulations, Erin! I am so pleased with how the fit of your gown turned out! It was nice to spend time with you and Sandy at your fittings. Thank you for trusting me with your bridal alterations!
