Wednesday and I want to talk about something that matters a lot to me — the power of knowing what you're good at AND knowing when to ask for help. ☕💜
I love making things. I am genuinely good at laser engraving, UV printing, 3D printing, sublimation. I can sew a little. But "a little" was not going to be enough for what the cruise door project needed at the finish line.
So I reached out to 's Closet — a wonderful fellow maker and seamstress — and asked for her help.
She made:
👜 Individual bags for each of the six cruise door decoration pieces — perfectly sized and beautifully finished
🎒 A larger drawstring bag to carry all six together with the remote and extra batteries
The result? A complete set that looks polished, professional, and absolutely ready to sail. 🚢
This is what the maker community is supposed to look like — filling each other's gaps, supporting each other's skills, making each other's work better. No one person has to be good at everything. That's what community is for. 💜
