👀 What Causes Blurry Vision? - Episode 2: Eye Strain 👀

Welcome back to our "What Causes Blurry Vision?" series!

Today's culprit: Eye Strain 📱💻📖

Have you ever spent hours scrolling, working on a computer, or reading, only to notice your vision becoming blurry? You may be experiencing eye strain!

Common symptoms include:
✨ Blurry or fluctuating vision
✨ Headaches
✨ Difficulty focusing
✨ Trouble concentrating
✨ Burning or dry eyes
✨ Double vision occasionally
✨ Eye fatigue

One easy way to help is by following the 20-20-20 Rule:
Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. Your eyes will thank you!

If blurry vision is becoming a regular problem, it may be time for a comprehensive eye exam to make sure there isn't another underlying cause.

The countdown is on, and we can't wait to celebrate America's 250th birthday with our amazing community!

Join Dr. Duong and the Melbourne Eye team as we take part in the 4th of July Parade on Saturday, July 4th at 10:00 AM. We'll be out there handing out goodies, sharing smiles, and celebrating the red, white, and blue with everyone along the parade route.

If you know Dr. Duong, you know he proudly bleeds red, white, and blue and loves every opportunity to give back to the community that has supported us through the years. This year's celebration is especially meaningful as we honor 250 years of American history, freedom, and patriotism.

✨ What an incredible experience! ✨

It was an honor to serve as a Clinical Director at the Special Olympics and be part of such an inspiring event. I had the opportunity to meet some truly amazing athletes, volunteers, and families, while helping provide vision screenings and eye care services to support these remarkable competitors.
The days were long, the work was rewarding, and the memories made will last a lifetime. Seeing the determination, sportsmanship, and joy displayed by these athletes was something I'll never forget.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the volunteers, organizers, healthcare professionals, and supporters who dedicated their time and energy to make this event possible. Your commitment helps create opportunities that change lives and strengthen our community.

The Special Olympics are still underway, so be sure to tune in and cheer on these incredible athletes on ESPN+ and Disney+! 💪🏼

🌟 We’re Proud to Announce! 🌟

Dr. Kha Duong will be serving as a Clinical Director for this year's Special Olympics! 🏅👓

As part of his role, Dr. Duong will be helping provide vision screenings, color vision testing, and eye pressure checks for the incredible athletes competing in the games. These services help ensure athletes have access to the eye care they need to perform at their very best.

Supporting our community and helping people see better has always been at the heart of what we do, which is why we are honored to be part of such an inspiring event. The dedication, determination, and spirit of these athletes are truly remarkable, and we can't wait to support them on their journey.

For children ages 5–8 years old, give them the gift of healthy vision this summer!

Even if your child doesn't seem to be having any vision problems, a comprehensive eye exam is an important part of their overall health. Early detection can help identify issues before they begin affecting learning, sports, or everyday activities.

At Melbourne Eye, your child will also have the opportunity to experience our OPTOS retinal imaging, a quick, non-dilated scan that takes a detailed picture of the inside of the eye. This allows us to check that everything is healthy, developing properly, and growing as it should, without the need for dilation drops in most cases!

Plus, it's a great way for kids to become comfortable with the eye exam process and build healthy habits for the future.

(Glasses starting at $75 include Polycarbonate lens, NO Transitions, NO Anti-Reflective Coatings or anything extra.)
