Good morning everyone. Events of Sunday morning have resulted in a change of policy. I had a young man inside my porch, who I thought was stopping in for sewing services or to pick something up. To my surprise, he told me that he wasn't going to lie to me, and that he spent the night in my chair, that I have stored out there. He said he was drunk and didn't know where he was so he just slept there. I was not afraid of him, he was polite, and respectful, and very embarrassed. He was terrified that I would call the police. I had left all of the porch lights on for Jacob Wetterling. As some of you know, I grew up in that area of Minnesota and the story of Jacob is close to my heart. I am glad the young man found a safe place to land. It could have been a much different story as we all know. He did get a motherly ear full from me, but I don't think he should pay for a youthful mistake forever. I will be locking the front porch door during non business hours. If Harry and I don't hear you, give me a call. I will try and get the doorbell repaired as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience, but this is still my home, and I need to feel safe.
