Hello,

Until further notice, due to the current Covid 19 pandemic, I will only be providing sewing services to the police, first responders, and military personal. I will be utilizing my skills, machines and supplies to construct personal protection equipment. Thank you all so much for your continued support.

Hello everyone. I'm sorry for not posting for awhile, but I have been very busy. Too busy in fact! Insanely busy! I was offered an outside job in January which I accepted. Since then, I have been burning the candle at both ends trying to do it all. As a result, work is piling up. I have also been asked to design and produce a weaving loom product line for an international loom company. It is a huge opportunity for me and I need to focus on this. I am finding it necessary to take the month of August off from accepting alterations, concentrate on the new products and catching up my current workload. Thanks for all of your support! Carol

Hello everyone. It is that time of year again. I will no longer be accepting work until after Christmas. Many of you know that I share my sewing space with a Christmas elf and she will be using the space to finish up gifts, clean machines, and sharpen scissors. I wish you all a wonderful Holiday Season and thank you for your support. Happy Holiday's! Carol

I'm honored to work on the most important dress, a woman will ever wear. Humbled by her confidence in me, to do a great job, even though we may have never met. I truly enjoy getting to know these ladies and working on their beautiful gowns.

Good morning everyone. Events of Sunday morning have resulted in a change of policy. I had a young man inside my porch, who I thought was stopping in for sewing services or to pick something up. To my surprise, he told me that he wasn't going to lie to me, and that he spent the night in my chair, that I have stored out there. He said he was drunk and didn't know where he was so he just slept there. I was not afraid of him, he was polite, and respectful, and very embarrassed. He was terrified that I would call the police. I had left all of the porch lights on for Jacob Wetterling. As some of you know, I grew up in that area of Minnesota and the story of Jacob is close to my heart. I am glad the young man found a safe place to land. It could have been a much different story as we all know. He did get a motherly ear full from me, but I don't think he should pay for a youthful mistake forever. I will be locking the front porch door during non business hours. If Harry and I don't hear you, give me a call. I will try and get the doorbell repaired as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience, but this is still my home, and I need to feel safe.

Hello everyone. I hope you all all enjoying your summer! Just a reminder to leave the tape in the junk drawer. Double sided and Duct Tape are the worst and often limits future sewing. The sticky stuff is almost impossible to remove from textiles. Try safety pins, hand sewing, or even staples in a pinch. If you have to use tape, masking or painters tape are the lesser of evils. Have a wonderful weekend! Carol

The lady that I upholstered the green paisley chair for awhile back, liked it so much she wanted another one done. It was originally, mauve and blue. Now a very nice taupe. She wanted it "quiet" so she can move it around in her house.

Yes, I also do commercial upholstery. A nice new comfy bed for those folks needing to visit the chiropractic office.

How about a $3.00 garage sale find? "Good bones, and it sits good," the sales lady mentioned. I agreed. A perfect little chair for a ladies desk. (shhhhh, its a Christmas gift for a dear friend) I think she will appreciate it that I didn't replace the fringe! I think it was red.
