Check out my counter. When you shop with us your first time. Don't forget to leave your mark. My whole plan was to have just the counter white, and then, hopefully, down the road, it would become black with the signatures of all my customers. Also, we just got a lot of godzillas in the store.

Figured it was time to reintroduce myself and Merchant’s Closet for anyone who’s new around here.

I’m Eddy, the owner of Merchant’s Closet here in Merced. We’re not your normal store. We’re a vendor marketplace with a little bit of everything—vintage clothing, collectibles, handmade stuff, jewelry, crystals, records, DVDs, retro gaming, custom items, and a bunch of other random cool s**t.

And you DO NOT have to be a business or make stuff to sell here.

Merchant’s Closet is also for regular people who just have s**t sitting around the house that they want to get rid of. Maybe you don’t want to spend your Saturday doing a yard sale, waking up at 4 in the damn morning for a flea market, or dealing with people coming to your house. Rent a spot with us, bring your stuff in, set it up, and we sell it for you.

We’ve got local vendors, artists, collectors, resellers, and just regular people clearing stuff out. That’s the whole point—giving everybody a place to sell.

We’re working on something new at Merchant’s Closet — THE BLOCKBUSTER EXCHANGE.

BRING A MOVIE. TAKE A MOVIE.

It’s simple. Bring in a VHS or DVD in good, working condition and swap it out 1-for-1 for another movie in the Exchange.

No money. No rentals. No memberships. No due dates. No late fees.

Once you trade for it, it’s yours. Watch it, keep it, or bring it back later and trade it for something else.

And if you’ve got old VHS tapes or DVDs sitting around that you don’t want anymore, we’re still accepting donations! Anything donated to the Blockbuster Exchange stays part of the Exchange — we’re not turning around and selling your donated movies.

We’re still building this damn thing, but it’s coming together. More soon!

Just a little context before people watch this video.

This wasn’t some random customer I decided to kick out or start s**t with. I’ve had two previous run-ins with this guy.

The first time, I watched him on Main Street cussing at a little girl and her mom, calling the girl a “punk-ass bitch” and threatening to kill them. I stepped in and told him to knock that s**t off.

The second time was after we opened Merchant’s Closet. He was outside yelling and threatening one of my vendors and customers. Again, I stepped in and told him he couldn’t be doing that s**t around my store.

Then he randomly walked into Merchant’s Closet.

I recognized him immediately and told him he needed to leave. As he was leaving, he started talking s**t again. When you hear me call him a “little punk-ass bitch” in the video, I’m throwing his own words back at him—the same s**t I heard him say to that little girl the first time I encountered him.

My employee laughing in the background pretty much says it all. 😂

Merchant’s Closet is supposed to be a place where our vendors and customers can come in, shop, sell their stuff, and feel comfortable. I’m always going to look out for the people inside my store.

Anyway… never a dull fu***ng day at Merchant’s Closet.
