Time to sew a memory bear! This sewing machine is my back up BERNINA that I take for sewing retreats…It’s purrs like a kitten. My other one was starting to act up so it’s going in for a tune up.

Pattern pieces for my next memory bear have been stabilized and cut out. Time to sew them together!

This sweet memory bear was made from a beloved Grandmother’s knit pullover shirt. It had A LOT of stretch, so I doubled the interfacing to prevent the bear from stretching and becoming wonky during stuffing. I used the wide contrasting decorative band at the bottom of the shirt to make a vest and cuffs which makes it look more like a boy bear for her grandson.💙🧸
