Today, I want to share something that's been on my heart for awhile now.
Over the past almost 10 years, I've had the incredible privilege of continuing the legacy of a bookstore that has served our community since 1972. Together, we've grown into so much more than a used bookstore. We've welcomed tens of thousands of readers through our doors, hosted author signings, created Peoria BookFest, opened The Spice Rack Romance Booktique, celebrated books of every genre, and built an amazing community that feels like family. In fact, an article recently written about us said we had "Found Family vibes" and I just can't think of a more perfect description.
As we've grown, one unexpected challenge has continued to come up...
Many people confuse us with another local bookstore because our names are so similar. It happens more often than you might think, and I realized it was time to make a change that would help readers find us more easily while still honoring the incredible history of this bookstore.
So today, I'm excited to share that...

Why "Stacy's"?
Because over the years, so many of you have come to know me as the person behind the bookstore. You've trusted me with your recommendations, celebrated milestones with us, attended our events, and supported every crazy idea I've dreamed up. This name reflects the bookstore we've built together while keeping the Book Rack name that has been part of our community for more than 50 years.
While our name is changing ... Our mission isn't. Our love of books isn't. Our commitment to our community isn't.
You'll still find the same friendly faces, the same shelves full of books, the same events you love, and the same passion for connecting readers with stories they'll never forget.
This isn't the end of a story.
It's simply the beginning of a brand-new chapter.
Thank you for believing in this bookstore, supporting our dreams, and allowing us to continue growing with you. We truly couldn't do it without you.
