Found and Feral by Mo

Found and Feral by Mo Found & Feral lives where the saddle meets the sportsman; where stories, saddles, and the great outdoors come together.

The smell of leather, the feel of rust, worn wood, and old tack have always felt like home to me.

NEW RELEASE | Tack & Timber Tuesdays

I couldn't leave this vintage Zane Grey alone.
So I gave Captives of the Desert a new story to wear.

Hand-painted. One of one. Inspired by the western landscapes that have always felt like home, even from hundreds of miles away.

It'll make its debut tonight during Tack & Timber Tuesdays alongside the western, sporting, and vintage finds you've come to expect.

If this is the direction Found & Feral is headed... I have a feeling we're just getting started. 🌡

πŸ“ Tonight | 8 PM CST

Around here, I call it Western Sportsman.

If it's weathered wood, rusty, flies like a duck, walks on four legs, hangs in a tack room, or has a story to tell... it belongs here.

Coffee mugs with character. Wildlife. Horses. Stoneware. Vintage books. Pieces with a past.

The house smells like coffee, leather, and legacy, and every Tuesday I get to share a little bit of that with you.

Welcoming in Tack & Timber Tuesday. πŸ€ŽπŸ¦†πŸŒ²

Usually I'm the first one to admire a vintage book's spine.

This time... I couldn't stop looking at the cover.

I found a worn copy of Captives of the Desert by Zane Grey and decided to paint the story instead of just displaying it. I left the original linen spine untouched because some history is worth keeping.

I'm not sure where this idea is headed yet, but I have a feeling this won't be my last painted western.

What do you think... should I paint more vintage books? πŸ“šπŸ€ πŸŒ…

Something new from the tack room...

β€’ No. 001 of my Western Sportsman Collection β€’

A metal bucket, hand-painted by yours truly, inspired by the places I love most... horse pastures, duck blinds, prairie grass, and Southern Illinois mornings.

I'm no professional artist, but I wanted to create something that felt like an old sporting magazine came to life on forgotten vintage.

This is the first of many, and no two will ever be exactly alike.

What do you think? Should I keep creating this series? πŸ¦†πŸŒΎ

For years, I struggled to define my style.

It was a mix of things, but it never felt "eclectic." Everything blended. It fit. Every piece complemented the next.

My home always reminded me of the tack room. Weathered wood. Wildlife. Stoneware. Horses. Cast iron. Vintage books. Coffee mugs with stories. Pieces with a past. Smell of leather.

Then one day it clicked.

Western Sportsman.

I couldn't find a name for the style I loved, so I gave it one.

Now I embrace it, fill my home with it, and every Tuesday I get to share those finds with you during Tack & Timber Tuesdays.

If your home feels more like a cabin, a tack room, or a quiet morning in the woods than a showroom... welcome home. 🀎
