. She performs ocular exams for children of all ages. She is also currently certified to fit Ortho Keratology contact lens. (This particular type of contact lens provides a safe alternative for patients who do not meet the requirements for LASEK or do not wish to have an invasive procedure.) Castellanos stays involved in the field of optometry as a member of the Florida Optometric Association, where she is a member of the board. Her other memberships include FOCCE, AOSA, and AOA.

A sudden spike in blood glucose can cause the lens of the eye to swell, as a result of excess movement of fluid entering the lens.

Understandably, a lot of people get scared with the most noticeable symptom of double vision, which is seeing two of the same images. There is no pattern for how this happens, as you might experience two overlapped images vertically, horizontally or even diagonally. The problem is that apart from being disconcerting, double vision can also result in people experiencing other discomforting symptoms like nausea, headaches, weakness in the eyes, droopy eyelids or even give them a cross-eyed appearance.
