The 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 represents freedom and the very ideals that America is built on. It also shows loyalty, and is a way to recognize the sacrifices and respect the sacrifices made by men and women to preserve the rights of American citizens.

- 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞, which has been the national bird of the United States since 1782. Here, the majestic eagle is rising from God’s hand and spreading its wings. Eyes bright, the eagle is ready to take off and head towards the future. We can also see that its wings are the American flag, representing 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐔𝐒𝐀.

- 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝: You can see God’s hand emerging from the bright, heaven - like sky. Here, beside being a symbolic figure, God’s hand also seems to be a source of power for the American eagle, encouraging it to head towards any challenges.

- “𝐖𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞”: This phrase is the preamble to the United States Constitution. These words hold a lot of meaning, and there are different theories as to why one of the most important documents in the US begins with them. “𝐖𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞” means that the US people have the most power, that this document was made by them and for them. The term “people” is also broader in meaning than similar words such as citizen, which ensures that everyone from each state is included. That means men, women, and children from all aspects of society. We could also assume that this could mean people of any colour or race. And whatever the underlying reason for this choice of words, the phrase “𝐖𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞” has become deeply ingrained in American politics and culture.

- 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝: You can see that God’s hand is emerging from the clouds. Traditionally, the hand of God has been understood as a symbol for God's intervention or approval of human affairs. Here, God is reaching out his hand, accepting and welcoming the American Eagle.

- 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞: The American Eagle, which we have covered before, can be understood as a representation of the USA. Not only are they the national bird of the United States since 1782, they are also unique to North America, strong, independent, majestic, bold, and faithful. They are a symbol of strength and determination - everything that America stands for.
Normally, the eagle is seen spreading its wings widely, flying straight ahead, fierce and fearless. It always looks as if it’s heading into a battle, and ready for anything. However, here the eagle is landing on God’s hand. And in God’s hand, the American Eagle is safe and sound.

- 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐤𝐲, 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭: The bright blue sky is filled with beds of clouds and sunlight. And from the sun lit clouds, God’s hand emerges. This scene might also symbolize heaven. The colors bright blue and white also represent positivity, light, purity and innocence. The whole picture exudes calmness, acceptance and warmth.

- 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐠: Once again we see the American Flag, one in the middle of the picture and one on the side of the cap. We all know that the flag represents the 13 Colonies and the 50 states of the United States. The flag in the middle lies among the clouds with God’s hand. If you are a cap enthusiast and always on the lookout for new designs and brands, chances are you have seen a lot of trucker caps, in different styles and colors. Having a wide front panel, trucker caps are perfect for prints or logos. But what makes the trucker cap truly special and why it is our personal favorite go beyond its large panel. Today, we’re gonna talk a little bit about the interesting history of this iconic style of hat, and why we think it’s just the best ever.

Trucker hats, sometimes called "feed caps" or "gimme hats" originated in the 1960's as promotional give-aways. They were actually often handed out in rural communities by agricultural supply companies to farmers, truck drivers (hence the name), or other rural workers, as companies began to realize the cap’s potential for advertising. These trucker caps are seen as a symbol of hard work and many people collected dozens of them along the way.

Having a wide front panel, the trucker cap has an ideal platform for emblazoned company logos, while also being functional, practical and cheap. It soon became part of the “uniform” of rural workers all over the states. The combination of the stiff, long peak with the comfortable foam front and the breathable mesh back meant that the cap not only protected the wearer from the sun but it readily absorbed sweat too. They are also a one - size - fits - most design, with a plastic closure strap that securely snaps together. Originally these hats were embellished with a printed design. Embroidery was not a popular decoration method back in the day as the machines were very expensive and crude.

Both farmers and truck drivers began wearing these hats as everyday attire and a fashion trend was born. By the early 2000's trucker hats became a mainstream fashion trend among American suburban youth. It is generally associated with the hip-hop, punk, and skater subcultures. Today, they can be seen on fashionistas from all walks of life and are generally used for both functional and stylistic reasons. Now, it is generally used for both functional and stylistic reasons. 𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐎𝐌𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐀 𝐂𝐀𝐏
We’ve all worn a cap at some point in our life, whether it was for practical or stylistic reasons. Caps are super versatile and they come in various shapes and styles. They can be used for sports, comfort, as a fashion statement, advertising purposes, cultural habits, safety, and also as part of a uniform. Despite them being so present in our daily life, not a lot of us know about the components that make up a cap and what they’re used for. So today, let’s dive into the anatomy of a cap.

𝟏. 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧
The crown of a cap refers to the dome-shaped part of the cap which covers your head and holds its shape with panels. Panels are the smaller triangular fabrics which are stitched together to form the crown. A crown is usually built with 3, 5, 6, and 7 panels. As you can see in the photo below, this cap has 5 panels holding it together, with an extra layer of leather on top of the front panel.

𝟐. 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫/ 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥
The visor is a projecting part in the front of the cap and is also called a bill or a peak. The main purpose of the visor is to protect the eyes from UV rays and prevent sunburn. In the earlier days, bills were made up of cardboard and didn’t adapt to washing. But today, the visor is made up of plastic and sewn with the fabric to hold the shape for a long time.

𝟑. 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝐁𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐨𝐧/ 𝐒𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐞
The button at the center of the top crown of the cap is called a squatchee. In the past, it was used to hold the panels together at the top and cover up the seam. Today, it is more often used as a decorative element on the top of the cap.

𝟒. 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞
Closure refers to the closure type of a cap, which determines the overall fit of the cap to the wearer’s head. There are two types, adjustable types, and non-adjustable types. A few popular types of closure are: Snapback, Velcro and Strapback. As you can see in the photo of our cap, the type of closure used here is snapback, which is plastic snapping straps. These snapback strips are fun to handle, easy to wear, resistant to wear and tear, and mostly found in trucker hats.

𝟓. 𝐄𝐲𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐬
Eyelets are embroidered holes designed on each panel of the cap to enhance breathability, provide more ventilation and prevent a sweaty scalp. Eyelets are sewn with a bordered edge or can be punched with metal rivets. That was the first paragraph of the poem “𝐈𝐧 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝𝐬”, written by the World War I brigade surgeon - John McCrae, who was struck by the sight of the red flowers growing on a ravaged battlefield. This poem is also the reason why until today, on 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 every year, some people still wear a Red Poppy in remembrance of those fallen in war.

𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲, usually celebrated on the last Monday of May, honors the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. This year, the holiday will fall on Monday, May 30.

Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Beside wearing a red poppy, many Americans also celebrate Memorial Day by participating in parades, visiting cemeteries or memorials and holding family gatherings or parties since this time also marks the beginning of the summer season.

- 𝐓𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 & 𝐓𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐬’ 𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐠: The flag of Texas is well known for its prominent single white star which gives the flag its commonly - used name "Lone Star Flag". The "Lone Star" is seen as a symbol of Texas' independent spirit, and gave rise to the state's official nickname "The Lone Star State". The lone star is also said to "represents all of Texas and stands for our unity as one for God, State, and Country".
The flag, flown at homes and businesses statewide, is highly popular among Texans and is treated with a great degree of reverence and esteem within Texas. The colors of the flag are also of great significance and meaning: 𝐑𝐞𝐝 represents the bravery of the people who fought for Texas, 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 represents purity and 𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞 represents the loyalty of Texans. The white star on the Texas flag represents unity among the people of Texas.

- 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐠: We can also see the American flag in the background next to the Texas Flag. There is a striking resemblance in the colors of the 2 flags, since the Texas flag was modeled after the American Flag. This further solidifies the fact that Texas is an intertwined and inseparable part of the USA.

- 𝐀 𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧: You can also see a cement wall breaking down. This means that no matter what hardships or challenges life throws at us, we will be able to power through them. It means we will be able to break down the barriers that stand between us and our dreams.

- 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐬: Right in the middle of the cap is the blue letter of Texas. This once again highlight the fact that the hat is 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲, 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐓𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐧𝐬.

Every year, on the third Sunday of June, we dedicate a day to honoring the men who have embraced the essential role of fatherhood. On this day, we also thank the fathers and father figures for the sacrifices they make, for embracing the responsibility of nurturing and raising children, and for their devotion to their family. This year, Father’s Day falls on June 19.

First, let’s look at the history of this holiday a little bit. Actually, the credit for the holiday is generally given to Sonora Smart Dodd of Spokane, Washington, whose father, a Civil War veteran, raised her and her five siblings after their mother died in childbirth. She is said to have had the idea in 1909 while listening to a sermon on Mother’s Day, which at the time was becoming established as a holiday. Local religious leaders supported the idea, and the first Father’s Day was celebrated on June 19, 1910, the month of the birthday of Dodd’s father.

Now that we’ve known the origin of the holiday, here are a few suggestions on how to make this day memorable for our main characters - the fathers:
