Today we had fun at Mojo Quilts And More looking for the letters of our name in salvage edges and alphabet fabric scraps. We learned how to piece them together to make name tags. If you couldn’t join us today, the instruction link will be posted on the comments.

Reminder: Instead of our regular meeting at Cotton to Quilts this Sunday, we are having a Sit and Sew:

July 12: LMQG Sit & Sew at the Shelbyville Extension Office
1117 Frankfort Rd, Shelbyville.

Instead of our typical meeting, come join the Sit & Sew any time between 9 am and 6 pm. In addition to a day spent getting to know guild members better while quilting.

Do you have quilting supplies or fabric that no longer give you joy? Bring those quilting supplies to share with others.

Bring your own lunch and drinks.

While the sit and sew is free, please let us know of you plan to attend to aid setup by responding through this post or by sending an email to [email protected]

At this meeting: Curious about Improv Quilting? Erin Burke Harris is going to spend some time diving into this popular area of the modern quilt movement. We’ll discuss different ways to approach this mostly rule and ruler free quilt construction method and talk about how to get started on your own improv journey. Erin will have samples of her own work and a stack of books to provide inspiration. Any fellow improv quilters are invited to share their work as well.

Quilters' Day Out: Thanks to those that volunteered their time and talent for Quilters Day Out. It was a nice opportunity to share information about out guild.

Registration for UFO Challenge (details in Guild Happenings below) is available through April.
