Nobody Teaches You How to Survive Betrayal
Nobody teaches you how to survive betrayal, you learn that one in the streets. You learn it in the quiet moments when the people you trusted the most switch up without warning. You learn it in the way your body tenses before your mind even catches up. You learn it in the silence after someone you would’ve gone to war for shows you they wouldn’t even cross the street for you.
Growing up around struggle teaches you a lot, but it never teaches you how to handle the kind of hurt that comes from someone you loved, supported, or believed in. That lesson hits different. It doesn’t come from books or advice or elders. It comes from experience, and experience can be a harsh teacher.
Betrayal forces you to grow in ways you never asked for. It makes you question your judgment, your loyalty, your softness.
