Why is it a bad idea to leave scrap lumber or firewood next to the house? We have subterranean termites so anytime you put a food source on the ground where they live there is a high probability it will attract them towards your house. They did also make their way into the house in this case, and many other cases.

The recent rain has caused the termites to start swarming. This swarm castle could’ve easily been formed within a matter of several days. Although seeing this can be very scary and a little eerie, it’s very common in our area, and can be treated and taken care of.
