The painting on my office wall is more than artwork. It represents what I consider my masterpiece: the Rig Raptor glove.
The Rig Raptor is the result of 12 years spent studying every detail that matters in hand protection—impact resistance, cut protection, dexterity, grip, comfort, and service life.
But the achievement I am most proud of is not how the glove looks. It is what it has helped accomplish. One of the largest service companies in the US recently completed three years using our gloves with zero recordable hand injuries.
That means workers went home with their hands protected. It also helped the company reduce injury-related costs, protect productivity, and strengthen its safety performance.
During a recent oilfield RFP, we learned that competitors were trying to obtain a Rig Raptor sample so they could produce something that looked similar. But a glove that looks the same is not the same. You can copy colors and design elements. You cannot copy 12 years of research, field testing, continuous improvement, and proven performance.
A single recordable hand injury can create more than $200,000 in direct and indirect costs. The business case is clear: invest in preventing injuries—not in the cheapest look-alike that checks a box.
Put them in the hands of your workforce. Test them in real working conditions. Then judge the results for yourself.
