Lots of warmth in the Fall colors this time of year. We are so lucky to live in New England - even spending the day inside on a rainy day is a pleasure at The Milford Market LLC. Open 10-5 Tuesday-Saturday, until 4 on Sunday. If you’re looking for a pretty and functional bakers rack I brought one in today. Also, a really nice adjustable brass lamp, Japan stoneware, vintage bar ware and the coolest vintage lucite hair comb ever!

$112-Amber New Martinsville Glass (pre-change to Indiana Glass) vase from “ Janice” line circa 1930’s. Art Deco silhouette with scalloped rim, and paneled body with a definite atomic nod. This specific rocket-shaped vase style was primarily introduced and sold between the late 1920s and the 1940s. 8.5 inches tall. No flaws and heavy. Stunning 3 Limoge The Lady and The Unicorn series 10 inch plates unused in original boxes. Fabulous color, gold edging is in great condition and detail by Robert Haviland interpretation of the infamous tapestries. Each plate is $34 or 3/$75. Added a stunning Hollywood Regency buffet lamp, a peek at Fall, a unique artisan interpretation of amaranthus leaves crafted in clay fired and glazed. Antique brass duck/geese coat hooks, Serving dishes, kitchen aids and sewing season is beckoning. Open Tuesday-Saturday 10-5,Sunday until 4.

STOREWIDE SALE STARTS TODAY at The Milford Market LLC. Dealers have brought in new inventory specifically for this sale and in many cases are offering additional discounts.Red Llama Vintage has added some crafted items, Johnson Brothers England mugs, a bunch of beautiful fat quarters bundles ( if you know, you know) and a very unusual find that might be of interest to folks who bake or have pop-up spots for baked goods that I’ve never seen before. The items on and above the bakers rack are unused rolled bundles of beeswax wraps for bread/bakery items from the 40’s/50’s. There are 10 to a bundle and measure about 18x12. They’re also suitable for framing and can be ironed with a layer of parchment paper. They are very cool and impossible to find. Last pictures here show the full sheets.

Looking for a statement piece? We’ve got you covered at The Milford Market LLC - circa 60/70’s Hollywood Regency pierced brass swag lamp with Aurora Borealis crystals. Wish I if ad taken a picture before it was disconnected but everything is there including 28 additional crystals for the skirt and the ceiling medallion for finished look installation or can be easily rewired for outlet use. Also brought in a fireplace screen with hand quilted insert, our last 1950’s John Audubon print, glassware and kitchen goodies and anyone else getting their sewing in? SUMMER SALE CONTINUES at The Milford Market LLC. The feminine bust in the frame has become my new favorite thing! I talk to her while I’m there, ask her opinions and staging ideas (not my strong suit).
There are some beautiful Macbeth Evans chop plates in the mix- I don’t love to cook but everything tastes great when service is on pretty plates. Added some great cookbooks to inspire since cooking season is fast approaching.
The original Wallace Nuttings (1861-1941) collection is expanding- he was an iconic photographer and the colorists had keen eyes and talent to put his vision in focused colors to share with the public. An example of faith in those artists is that he often had them sign his name to the work, so much so that it is uncommon to find an unsigned piece.
In the event you’re looking for something specific- please let me know. I restock weekly and I can set something aside for pickup through the store. As much as I lean into MCM and vintage style everything, Art Deco is still my favorite. The jewelry, fashions, architecture, automobile, furniture- all of it. The Art Deco period of clean lines, layers and angles was the grandfather of Mid -Century Modern with a nod toward atomic and futuristic imaginings. Every once in a while I stage a sales display that just makes me happy to look at.
