Heel pain: Is it your fascia or a nerve?
Stabs in the morning? Probably fascia. Burns/tingles at night? Probably a nerve. Spread your toes and improve circulation to let either one heal.
If you’ve got stubborn heel pain, you probably assume it's Plantar Fasciitis. But a surprisingly high percentage of heel pain is actually a trapped nerve. Treating one like the other won't fix the problem. Here’s how to tell the difference:
1. The Fascia (Plantar Fasciitis)

The Feeling: A sharp, localized "stabbing" directly under the heel.
