Thank you all for such a tremendous art fair and festival season! What a ride it has been! 💖

This year saw some new events and some old favorites. And I can't wait to do it all (and more!) again in 2027. ✨

One of the biggest challenges of the year has been balancing my time and energy growing my in-studio presence with classes and private events alongside getting out and about at markets to see you all. I can't quite say I have the rhythm down yet, but I'm learning more and more every month. 💪🏼

But just because art fair season is behind me doesn't mean things are slowing down. Quite the opposite, actually. This is the time of year that I feel things really kicking into high gear as we enter the holiday shopping season. It's exciting and exhausting all rolled into one, and I try to have fun thru it all. 🌟

I'll be releasing my full schedule soon, but for now, be sure to save the date for our Holiday Collection Launch and Studio Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, November 7 at my studio inside AudreyRose Vintage 🗓️

I'll also be launching my online collection that same day. I know I'm terrible about keeping website inventory for people to shop, but I promise I'm going to be doing my best to keep it stocked. 🤞🏼

We're officially one month out from our November 7 Holiday Launch & One-Year Studio Anniversary Party! ✨

I love that I get to celebrate the opening of holiday season in such a special place. A space made for sharing joy and cheer. Made for spending time in community with friends and loved ones. ✨

Happy October!

This is my absolute favorite time of the year. The air is crisp. The leaves are changing color. And I'm squirreling around the studio prepping for the upcoming holiday season. It's the best.

But this month also marks another one of my favorite fall rituals: the Vintage Fall Crawl! (https://www.vintagefallcrawl.com/) From October 1 to October 31, you can explore 20 women-owned vintage shops throughout Minneapolis and St. Paul, collecting a passport stamp at each stop. And for the first year ever, Flicker & Fizz fans can get a front row seat to all the action through my studio roomie, AudreyRose Vintage!

Pick up your passport at AudreyRose Vintage or any participating shop, enjoy a 10% discount, and support local women-owned businesses all while raising funds for Neighborhood House, a local non-profit whose mission is to help people gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to thrive in diverse communities. Private Events + New Candle Classes

There’s something about this time of year that makes us want to cozy up with our favorite people and do something a little creative.

We recently hosted a private candle-making experience for a local couple celebrating their 16th wedding anniversary because the traditional gift for year 16 is wax - who knew?! So whether you’re celebrating something special or simply looking for a fun excuse to get together, we’d love to see you in the studio!

Our original October 17 candle class at noon is officially SOLD OUT, so we’ve added a second class at 3pm for anyone who wants to join us for an afternoon of candle-making!

And there’s plenty more happening that day: AudreyRose Vintage will be hosting their monthly Maker’s Market, along with Vintage Fall Crawl festivities throughout the neighborhood. So come make a candle, do some vintage shopping, and make a whole afternoon of it!

After what feels like FOREVER away, I spent three days in a row back at my Speakeasy Studio! And what a weekend it was:

✨ Hosted the loveliest couple on Friday night for a private event celebrating their 16th wedding anniversary. Apparently wax is the traditional gift for year 16, who knew?! Such a fun experience pulling that together.

✨ Saturday was September's monthly candle class and we had such a blast that I forgot to take any photos besides a wonderful coffee from my newest roomie Time Wave Coffee

✨ And on Sunday I got to spend time catching up with my roomies AudreyRose Vintage and Anthony Binger while daydreaming about transforming The Mullet into a merry wonderland for the holiday season!

✨ Also peep some product preview pics for an upcoming online collection ‼️ It's been forrrreeverrrr since I've had online inventory.

AND decorated my studio a little to gear up for the upcoming Vintage Fall Crawl starting October 1!

Busy busy busy and it felt so good to be back at it!

Quick earring check before the St. Louis Park Art Fair— MN by SLP Friends of the Arts gets underway today! Don't mind the frizzy hair - it was straight when I left the house 🤣

Join us from 10am to 5pm at the Recreation Outdoor Center. There are close to 200 artists, live music, food trucks, a b**r garden and LLAMAS! 🦙

The rain has stopped and it's going to be a great day! Can't wait to see you. ✨

Cheers to What's Next!

Here's what we have coming up on our summer docket:

June 13 + 14: AudreyRose Fest | 3508 Snelling Ave, Mpls
AudreyRose Vintage - my studio mate and hostess with the mostest - is celebrating 2 years at their current location and we will be joining the party all weekend long! There will be 20+ guest vintage and handmade vendors, along with food, treats, and coffee. The celebration also coincides with the broader Longfellow Neighborhood Garage Sale weekend.

On Saturday, June 13, I will be hosting my monthly A La Carte Candle Class at 12pm. Only two seats remain, so grab a friend and come on out! Grab your tickets here: https://www.flickerfizz.com/candlemaking-classes

On Sunday, June 14, I will be having an open studio session where you can see me in action as I pour inventory for upcoming shows. I'll also be having a studio clear-out garage sale to make room for new things.

June 20 + 21: Stone Arch Bridge Festival | West River Parkway, Downtown Minneapolis Riverfront
Join Flicker & Fizz for our second Stone Arch appearance! The downtown riverfront is one of my favorite places in all of Minneapolis and we'll have a front row seat to all the fun.

July 17 - 19: Minnehaha Falls Art Fair | Minnehaha Falls Park, Mpls
I can't imagine a more wonderful place to be rounding out our summer festival schedule than Minnehaha Falls Park in South Minneapolis. With live music, 200+ regional artists, food trucks, and eats from Sea Salt, it's the perfect place for celebrating summer.

After Minnehaha Falls, I'll be taking the rest of summer off to enjoy some travel and sunshine. And also to start stocking up for the fall and holiday season! Plus I have already begun daydreaming plans for my 1 year studio anniversary in November, but we won't get ahead of ourselves now.
