LoveMplsParks Posters for Parks —the annual show featuring limited-edition posters created by local artists and designers inspired by Minneapolis parks — is TOMORROW. Saturday, October 10, 2:00-6:00. All sales are split 50/50 with artists and the Minneapolis park system.

I’m honored to be part of the show this year with a 5-color screen print contribution, “Meet Me at the Park.” Poster description: “A bustling visual history of Minneapolis parks consisting of: The cover of landscape gardener H.W.S. Cleveland’s 1883 ‘Suggestions for a System of Parks and Parkways’ + newspaper clipping announcing the inception of the Minneapolis Parks Board + cut paper collage of early Minneapolis parks, waterways, and lakes + historic photography from ‘The Story of W.P.A. in the Minneapolis Parks, 1941’ (Lake of the Isles/Concrete and Redwood Settees/Parkway Bridge over Bassett’s Creek in Theodore Wirth Park) + cover illustrations from historic Minneapolis Board of Park Commissioners Annual Reports.”
