If horror movies were based on life at Pacifier, these would be our top jump scares 👻

🎬 #1: The internet goes down on a Saturday.
🎬 #2: Ella forgets to clock in... again.
🎬 #3: 100 boxes arrive at 3:55 PM when the warehouse closes at 4.
🎬 #4: Parents calling to ask if we have NeeDohs in stock... for their teenagers.
🎬 #5: Accidentally making eye contact with one of the practice baby dolls and thinking it’s a real baby.
🎬 6: The warehouse cat deciding to "“elp” with the window display by taking a giant bite out of it.

Retail may not be a horror movie, but some days it definitely feels like one. 😅

Meet Egle, our very first Team Member Spotlight ✨

If you’ve visited any of our Pacifier locations over the last five years, chances are you’ve experienced Egle’s kindness, knowledge, and calming presence firsthand. Working across all of our stores, she’s become such an important part of the Pacifier family.
Her favorite part about working here? “The humans.” 🤍 Egle shared that she feels lucky to be surrounded by amazing people every day, and honestly, we feel just as lucky to have her.

When it comes to favorite departments, Baby Gear is her specialty. She loves learning the technical side of products and helping families problem-solve, especially when it comes to finding the right car seat solutions. Safe to say, she’s our go-to expert!

Fun fact: before Pacifier, Egle worked in the fashion industry and grew up in Milan, Italy 🇮🇹 Talk about style and expertise all in one.
Outside of work, you can usually find her spending time with her furry baby (a shiba inu with a BIG personality 🐕), traveling with her daughter, or enjoying her favorite snack: smoked salmon.

We are so grateful for everything Egle brings to our team every single day. Make sure to say hi next time you see her in store! ✨

I don’t think people realize how emotionally strange it is to own a small business in the age of content creation.

Because one day you wake up and realize survival no longer just depends on being good at your job.

Now it also depends on your willingness to constantly put your own face on the internet.

And maybe that sounds dramatic, but I was walking to the store before open this morning with a stack of baby Patagonia jackets and a YouTube script called “5 Most Common Infant Car Seat Mistakes” thinking about how much older I look than when I joined this business.

Not older in a bad way.
Just visibly carrying the years of trying to keep a small business alive in Minneapolis.

The stress.
The constant adapting.
The quiet fear that you’re still somehow not doing enough.

Because every year the list grows:
Run the business.
Stay relevant.
Film videos.
Keep people engaged.
Don’t fall behind.

And the hardest part is nobody really tells you what the target is.

You just keep wondering:
Am I missing something?
Should I be posting more?
Different videos?
Working harder somehow?

Meanwhile the camera keeps documenting time passing whether you want it to or not.

So genuinely. Thank you to the 23 people who consistently watch, like, comment on, and share our silly little videos.

To the internet, 23 people is nothing.

To a small business owner trying very hard to keep going, it feels like everything.

One minute you’re packing bags, answering questions, wiping spills, and making magic happen… and the next you’re standing in the kitchen wondering why you walked in there in the first place.

Unstoppable? Absolutely.
A little unstable? Also absolutely.

But somehow, parents keep showing up every single day with love, patience, and the ability to survive on minimal sleep and maximum chaos. Here’s to the parents doing their best, laughing through the madness, and proving that even on the craziest days, they can handle anything (even if it’s barely 😅).

How a new window display comes to life: 

Step 1: Search the internet many hours for giant cute things that make people stop and say “WAIT LOOK AT THAT” 👀

Step 2: Assemble everything with our very helpful warehouse cat, whose main contribution was biting two flowers 

Step 3: Test it in one store using an unreasonable amount of fishing string 

Step 4: Move things one inch at a time until it “feels right”

Step 5: Stare at it for 10 minutes because it turned out SO cute 

Step 6: Realize I now have to recreate it in 3 more stores 

Worth it every single time 🫶
