Racks on Plaques

With EHD hitting hard in the main areas I hunt, I really dont feel like hunting. With my mind off deer for a few days, it was nice just to "be" in the woods, looking past deer sign, just taking it all in for what it is. Im biased for sure, but I think any one would be hard pressed to find a dog as pretty as Roxy..

Night shift in The Shack.

Pretty long day today. I was awake at 12:11 am. So, I thought I would sand the plaster on the 4 racks Im working on. But, bc of the recent humidity, they just were not quite dry yet. By this evening they were dry! FYI. The ones painted black are painted before I put the black felt over, the white forms make the black felt look lighter in color.

Well, after I got soaked mowing, I figured I'd work in the Rack Shack. These were some heavy racked bucks from a few years ago.

Anyone else getting bachelor groups on camera? This 30 acre parcel I started to put work in a few yrs ago is showing some great results. A good age structure of bucks.
