Here on the central coast, even a sunny beautiful day can quickly turn cool as the tides and wind shift, so the perfect foil is to have at ready a soft cozy wrap. We have a gorgeous array of capes, wraps and loose kimono style cardigans hand loomed in South America in store now. Additionally we have gowns from Positano, jewelry and hats from Florence and many other sartorial treasures. Photographed at one the most extraordinary swimming pools in the world, the Coral Casino Beach & Cabana Club in Montecito. A beach front art deco bathing club built in 1937, soon to house a new restaurant by Thomas Keller. Can’t wait and will definitely be wearing one of these elegant wraps!

Hello from Paris! This large format, reversible scarf makes an incredible addition to any wardrobe. This is one of six new patterns in store now. To start, I’m wearing it as a shawl folded diagonally but it converts easily into a luscious scarf. The edges are hand hemmed in a luxurious 60% wool and 40% silk blend which drapes beautifully. I don’t leave home without one of these! Lately I find it perfect to keep one on my lap to ward off a chill. Here I’m sporting the easiest travel ensemble in all black, wearing one of our cashmere t-shirts, leather pants by .paris, a simple belt by and the most comfy velvet shoes by shot at my new favorite hotel in Paris

Holding still for one moment, working on the specs for more of our ever popular belts! We’ve been selling beautiful woven leather belts with metal buckles hand crafted in Morocco for almost 25 years. We have marvelous new designs with more renditions on the way. Here I’m sporting poplin chinos with snazzy stripes made in Japan with a menswear shirt embellished with a crochet rondel made in Italy. We have 5 of these shirts, each a unique cut and crochet detail, finished with a belt of course! I loved my too brief a stay

Today I wanted to highlight a few pieces from our wonderful assortment of ceramics. Handmade in Paris, they make the perfect gift for Morher’s Day whether it be a vase, bowl, teapot or pitcher. They are extremely collectible and are meant to be used and cherished for a lifetime. My favorite textiles in all the world are “suzani” - hand embroidered textiles made in Uzbekistan. I select the prettiest pieces from a vast array of options in Istanbul . Some of them are cut and made into jackets and dusters, while others remain whole perfect for tablecloths, wall hangings, or whatever you fancy. I’ve got an array of new colors including green. yellow and gold in addition to the beautiful blues. I just got notification that our order is ready, shipping today, expected next week!

We’ve received so many fantastic new things from my recent buying trip and our normal hours have resumed Tuesday - Saturday 11 - 5! Hope to see you soon.

Wearing my favorite shirt, with its bold cuffs and season-less red and white stripe, it’s made for us in Italy of the finest cotton. (A customer recently commented that they rivaled shirts she gets from !) We also have a number of different blue & white stripe shirts as well as our best selling shirt dress just in. Pair with our new white jeans, a Moroccan belt and rich red leather tote - ready for the weekend!

I’m tickled with this fabulous dress, obviously inspired by what has become an iconic print by D&G of majolica tiles and ceramics from Sicily. The print is a timeless celebration of a great artistic tradition of the south. I liked the contrast of motif and color, (the red and white mooring poles designate private access to a palazzo) here in Venice. And just today spotted a lovely woman wearing a lemon festooned dress here in Florence so why not mix it up! The earrings are personal favorites, they are made for us in Istanbul and are arriving soon. Jacket is by Forte Forte.

This is one of the most fabulous things we’ve ever had in the store - a soft, luxurious hand loomed cashmere shawl. It adds grace, warmth and style to any outfit, or simply cuddle up with it and a great show! It’s available now along with easy loose cardigans. We have new white denim and one woven bag left - but more will arrive later in May along with many other new treasures!
