To everyone that has crossed the threshold of my shop- have a blessed Thanksgiving.

I will be shutting down my shop page by the end of the year. I’ve had several message and email me with questions. I try to answer as best I can. You can still use the [email protected] as that will not go away. Retirement has been wonderful, watching my granddaughter grow up!

As you all probably know, Sew Good is now closed. I am in the process of shutting things down. It has been a great adventure running my shop.

Last week I said good bye to a great friend. He taught me a lot about sewing machine repair and if he couldn't talk me through it, he would come up and show me what to do. I don't think I would have been as successful at repairs if it weren't for him. He was a great friend to a lot of people. He will be missed.

Now on to my next adventure - retirement and being a grandma!

Saturday June 11( 10-2) is our final mystery quilt get together. We have all the clues it will be nice to see how everyone is doing on their quilt!!

Monday June 13 (10- ) is our final all club get together. I am hoping for lots of show and tell, great conversation, and dish to share.

These are 2 of the programs that I have loved doing all these years. I think everyone had enjoyed being a part of them all. My hope is that everyone will continue sewing and learning new skills. I know I will start sewing for me (and a new granddaughter).

The final club (Embroidery, Sewing, and Serger) meeting at Sew Good Sewing Center will be on Monday June 13th at 10am. Bring a dish to share and lets have a party. We will share show and tell, talk about our favorite projects, or ones that we may never do again. Hope to see you there!

Sew Good Sewing Center has been in the Monticello area for 10 years. We have grown from a small starter shop to one that keeps me very busy! I have decided it is time to retire and give my hands, wrists, and arms a rest from all the work that is done daily. I am very thankful for all the students, customers, friends, and family that have supported me throughout this adventure! Students and customers have become friends and part of a large sewing family. JANOME has been my choice of machine and as I leave the business, I still stand by that. Classes have been great fun! Teaching new machine owners and those new to sewing and quilting has been the best. I ran 9 mystery quilt projects and several mystery table toppers/runners. Those seem to be the most fun, and challenging for the students picking out fabrics. I hope you keep motivated and continue sewing, I know I will. The shop will close it's doors at 1:00pm on Saturday June 18th, 2022. Thank you all, Carolyn

10 years ago I left my job and started my own sewing machine shop. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years already! It has been a great adventure. I’ve made lots of new friends. Now it’s time for my next adventure - retirement.

The shop will be closing in June. Lots of specials are going on. Come in and check it all out.

You might ask what I will do in retirement. Well I plan on learning to be the best grandma! June is going to be a great month.

This Saturday is Project Linus make a blanket day at the shop. If you have 1-1/2 yards of kid friendly fabrics for top and back bring it along. Also batting. We do have some donated fabrics already. It’s a fun time to sew a simple blanket and meet with sewing friends. The shop will be open from 10 until 5 so you can stop by anytime, even if it’s just to see what’s going on.

PROJECT LINUS:
Down and dirty sewing day, February 19th: 10am-5pm.
Supplies:
If you like you may bring 1 1/2 yards of kid friendly fabric for top,
1 1/2 yards for backing and batting.
Do bring sewing machine, cords and tools. Come in anytime between 10am and 5pm.
You may bring a lunch or there are many places close by.
