Happy November! I love this time of year! A wonderful time to think about all we have to be thankful for, all the blessings we have received throughout the past year, and all the wonderful things we have to look forward to!

I know a lot of you parents have the same concerns as me these days. Society tries to tell kids anything and everything is okay, when it’s not. Today’s culture is sending confusing messages that they can cross boundaries and they’ll find their true selves. The truth is, who they are will never be found apart from the God who created them.

The Bible says it’s the truth that sets us free. THE truth. Not “a truth” or “their truth” or “my truth”. The truth. Truth is found in Jesus, and in the Word of God. We have to be bold enough to state that, first to ourselves, then to our children and eventually to society. We will not allow these strange ideas to pe*****te our homes. I believe that’s why homeschooling started taking off like never before in these past couple years.

In a small way I hope that my books help parents know they are not alone. That our children do need proper, Bible-based boundaries for their lives. That we need to raise a generation of kids based on truth- God’s truth! If you are one of those parents, I’d love to connect with you!

This is how we start our homeschooling day, with faith confessions! (Thanks to our church for this awesome resource!)

There is such a huge connection between what we speak, how we think, our heart beliefs and our actions that determine how our lives will go. All four of these things working together will bring incredible results! If we follow the ways of the Bible we will reap the kingdom benefits!

So, we train them when they are young to

1. Renew their minds. Romans 12:2
2. Speak life. Proverbs 18:21
3. Believe in their heart. Ephesians 1:17-18
4. Live out their faith. James 1:22

One of my visions as an author is to impart a love for God’s Word in the hearts of kids. I want this generation to know there is a way that leads to life, blessing, joy and peace! God’s Word is full of instruction that is not meant to restrict but set us free!
