The man behind the scenes. ❤️
On September 29, our family suffered a heartbreaking loss. My mom and business partner lost her husband, and I lost my daddy.
Many of you may not know this, but Scissortail Rose Collection had an unofficial shipping and receiving manager. He didn’t have a title, never expected recognition, and certainly wasn’t on the payroll. But he was always there when we needed him.
That was my daddy, Greg.
This photo was taken while we were preparing our booth. There he was, right beside me, helping paint the walls of a little business he couldn’t wait to see succeed.
He was our behind-the-scenes helper, our quiet encourager, and one of our biggest cheerleaders.
He believed in us, and he was genuinely excited about what my mom and I were building together.
These past several days have been incredibly difficult. Grief has a way of making even the simplest things feel overwhelming. We’ve struggled to keep up with posting, promoting, and growing our business while trying to navigate a world that suddenly feels very different without him.
But we’re still here.
And perhaps now, more than ever, we’re determined to make Scissortail Rose Collection everything he believed it could become.
There will be quieter days ahead. There will be days when simply showing up feels like an accomplishment. But we’re going to keep moving forward, one step at a time.
Because he was there for the beginning of this dream, and we intend to carry a little piece of him through every chapter that follows.
I just wish he could be here to see where it goes.
