Come say hi to Madi! This sweet girl came to us through our partnership with The Comeback Kid Society , a nonprofit empowering teens with support and resources. Many of these kids reside in foster group homes, detention centers, treatment facilities, etc. One of the ways they help is by working with other local nonprofits to provide them work experience and job readiness.
That’s where we come in. We welcomed Madi with open arms and she’s nothing short of amazing. She’s a hard worker, kind, and has a quick wit that keeps us laughing daily. After her program with CBKS was over, we had no other choice but to tell her she couldn’t leave us! We’re so thankful to have her.

Recently, an elderly man came in and said his favorite color was yellow, I said “My favorite color used to be yellow.” He said “Oh we’re both alike can you help me look for yellow workout clothes?” I said “yes” and he said “Are you working tomorrow?” I said “yes” and he said “Okay then I’ll see you tomorrow I love talking with you and tomorrow your favorite color better be yellow!” 💛
I love working with my TBD Family because everyone has come from different back grounds and everyone I work with changed their path in a positive way. We all show up for each other without anything in return. My coworkers make me feel seen, valued, trustworthy, optimistic, and vulnerable and that’s something I will forever be grateful for. Others may see that as ordinary, but I see it as extraordinary. They showed me that people that came from a hard background can change also!!! ❤️🩹
