I am always saying that my best prayer time is in the fields with the sheep or with the dogs. This morning I just want to share where my thoughts & reflection went.
My dogs watch my every move, they react to my voice, and desire nothing more than to be near me during the day when they are not guarding the sheep. They submit to my leadership, putting its complete well-being into my hands without question. (Now, please know that my dogs are a self-reliant breed and they do think before they trust and like us make that decision based on our prior bonding.). These two drop their defenses unless they hear a sheep cry and will fall asleep trusting that I am protecting them & their sheep from danger during their nap time.
As believers we are to rely on God, align with His will and value His presence in our lives above all. We need to lower our pride, acknowledge our need for Him and recognize His authority. With God we are able to cast away our anxiety, release & give Him control of our future, and find our rest in His divine protection.
