Mark asked me to do something I never did before. He is a train engineer, and needed sleeve covers and a red false shirt made. (I can't believe I had red velcro just sitting around!) It turned out great, and it was super fun to learn about train conductor fashion and whistles. And, he loved my dog. Thanks for coming in Mark!

Everybody likes a transformation, and this one is beautiful. If you were married in the 90's, you will recognize this dress: French lace, beads, sequins, V-waistline, and poofy sleeves. This was Summer's soon-to-be Mother-in-law's dress. If you can see, it was beautifully preserved, and the satin is snow white. The sequins aged a beautiful pale yellow to give the dress character. It fits her beautifully, but Summer was overwhelmed with the sleeves, so those got taken off, lace removed, and re-sized to fit the cap of her shoulder. I also removed the very big and heavy train. I shortened the dress to t-length, and removed the V-waistline for her. Summer's soon-to-be Mother-in-law knows she has the dress to be altered, but doesn't know what she plans to do with the dress. It will be a jaw dropping moment when she wears this to the rehearsal dinner. Thanks for the challenge, Summer, and Congratulations!

I have an old Singer 20u in the studio. We needed a curved needle for a different machine and I challenged my employee, Eric to see if he could find one in the drawer of this machine. He had so much fun looking at stuff that was 30, 40 and 50 years old, I had to take a few pics. Do you recognize any of the items in this drawer? If you do, I know how old you are!!! :)
