Meet the talent behind Laurie's Vintage Goods. Laurie Thiessen does it all, from sewing her infamous seasonal pillows, to painting and finding those awesome vintage pieces. She has been such a blessing to the Cottage Market not only for her artistic talent but also for her willingness to jump in and help us whenever we need it. Here are 10 facts about this amazing lady:

1. I live in Moundridge
2. For my real job, I've worked in Administration at Mid
Kansas Coop for 30 years.
3. I Love the Lord and attend Grace Crossing Church in
Moundridge.
4. I have 1 daughter Bethany who is married to Derek
Odell and my first grandson is on the way!
5. I spent a year working on my daughter's vintage
wedding and had so many people tell me I should start
a business, so 4 years ago I finally did.
6. I love every kind of craft, so my stuff is all over the
place, pillow, wreaths, window, shutters, screens,
architectural signs, you name it!
7. My grandma babysat for me and my sisters when we
were little and constantly crafted with us, so I owe my
talent and hoarding tendencies to her.
8. I love the Chiefs and Royals
9. I'm a Jayhawk fan ( which is really hard when you work
in AG industry that is 99.9% purple)
10. My favorite thing is scrounging around at flea markets
or antique stores.
