Today I had my 4th “special lunch” of the school year. Every child in my class gets a special day where they pick any restaurant they want to order from and I have it DoorDashed (since I can’t leave campus) to my school and we sit outside at the picnic tables ,one-on-one and eat their favorite meal together. To them, it’s just lunch with their teacher, but to me, it’s building relationships ♥️ today my student said “I can’t wait to rub this in my big brothers face” 😂 and “I’ll never ever forget this day in my life” 🥹🥹 This is my “why”.
I’ll be one of her core memories. I’m honored.

Day #15 of teaching didn’t start very well, only getting 4 hours of sleep last night 😪 Going through something personal. All I’ll say is when your child’s heart is hurting, a mom hurts even worse 😞 My day turned out to be good though. Left smiling and excited to get home to see my girls and cuddle them. Good new is yall didn’t leave me hanging. You’re showing up, supporting the few posts I did create and food is on the way. A video on tiktok went viral (follow me there) and that really helped 🙏 Feeling so thankful. Thank you for engaging with my posts! Let’s Squirrel On 🐿️

Something I’m going to try to do is introduce my students to new fresh fruits and vegetables that they may have never tried before in their lives. I know in my experience I was Adult before I tried majority of fruits. Starting with bananas 🍌 I’m not sure if Amazon will deliver this or how fresh it will be once it comes, but I’m going to try if anyone would love to help. This is my wish list
