An amazing family right here in our community!
They beautifully framed a gallery photo I purchased by the talented Stavra Kalina and it proudly hangs in my home.
To me, that photo symbolizes 3 local women who came together to make something beautiful that can be passed down for ages! ❤️
The Great Frame Up of Mount Laurel
Mount Laurel… This Is What a Local Business Looks Like. ❤️
Not a corporation.
Not a faceless building.
Not a logo.
This.
People.
Families.
Neighbors.
Friends.
Human beings who show up every single day to serve their community with pride and care.
For me, The Great Frame Up of Mount Laurel represents exactly that.
I’ve personally known Darlene, Bart & Jaclyn for many, many years now. When our karate school moved into the ShopRite shopping center nearly 18 years ago, they were already there — welcoming people, helping customers preserve memories, and quietly building relationships throughout our community.
Over the years, we became more than neighboring businesses.
We became friends.
And that’s the part people sometimes forget when they think about “local business.”
Behind every counter…
behind every service…
behind every open sign…
there are real people trying to do meaningful work while building a life, supporting a family, and contributing something good to the town they love.
That’s what I see when I walk into The Great Frame Up.
I see people who genuinely care.
People who understand that they’re not just framing artwork or photographs.
They’re framing moments.
Wedding memories.
Family portraits.
Military honors.
Children’s artwork.
Sports jerseys.
Tributes to loved ones.
Pieces of people’s lives.
And after all these years, they still do it with professionalism, patience, creativity, and heart.
That matters.
Especially today.
Because in a world that often feels rushed and impersonal, businesses like this remind us what community is supposed to feel like.
Warm.
Personal.
Human.
This is what a local business looks like.
It looks like Darlene.
It looks like Bart.
It looks like Jaclyn.
It looks like people showing up day after day with pride in their work and gratitude for the people they serve.
To me, that’s Living Strong.
Not just surviving in business for decades…
but continuing to care.
Continuing to serve.
Continuing to treat people like neighbors instead of transactions.
So today, I simply wanted to shine a Living Strong Spotlight on some wonderful people who have been part of the fabric of Mount Laurel for a long time.
And if you’ve ever had something framed there…
if they’ve ever helped preserve a memory for your family…
or if you simply appreciate seeing good local people continue to show up for our town…
leave them some love in the comments below. ❤️
Because this right here…
THIS is what a local business looks like.
P.S. 👀
Be on the lookout for The Great Frame Up in our upcoming Big Ask Card community mailer going out to 5,000 Mount Laurel homes!
I’m proud to have wonderful local businesses like Darlene, Bart & Jaclyn featured as part of this Living Strong Projects community campaign spotlighting the PEOPLE behind our local businesses — the families, neighbors, and hardworking individuals who help make our town feel like home.
When the card arrives in your mailbox… take a moment to look through it, support local, and celebrate the businesses that continue showing up for our community year after year. ❤️
