I will be closed for my wedding and honeymoon 11/11/25-12/15/25. I will be reopening on 12/16/25. All appointments between 10/14/25-11/7/25 will be scheduled for pickup after I reopen 12/16-January. I am fully booked out for wedding dresses needed before late January at this time. I’m also fully booked out for all orders needed before the week of 10/21 currently. Updated rush & alteration timelines:

To inquire for rush, please send a text to 843-475-0722 with the date you need the item by and what alterations are needed. Thank you! (No rush availability for orders needed before 6/20).

All fittings can be booked online at onceuponaseamstudio.com

General womenswear & formal dresses: 4-5 weeks

Wedding dresses: 3 months (rush availability for end of June/July)

When to book the first fitting (minimum timeline)

If your wedding is in June, the first fitting needs to be in April.
July: April or early May
August: May or early June
September: June or early July
October: July or early August
November: July or early August (will be closed 11/12 - 12/11)
December: if your wedding is before 12/19, July or early August. If after, August or September
January: September or October

This timeline is the minimum for wedding dresses, you are more than welcome to book the first fitting earlier than these recommended months as well. If you don’t see availability that works, please message 843-475-0722 or email [email protected]

Shop Update:

As of 7/15, alterations on menswear is no longer an offered service. I will be focusing on my areas of expertise which are womenswear, wedding dresses, and formal dresses.

As of today, there are no fittings available for the remainder of July, August, and most of September for causal womenswear alterations due to the current workload of the fall wedding season. Unfortunately this is the downside to being a one woman show.

I am currently accepting formal dresses needed late October and on and wedding dresses needed in November or later. I am fully booked out for wedding dresses until November and formal dresses needed before 10/20. (update as of 09/14/24, the online calendar is available for all alteration type bookings beginning mid October for November pickups)

Congratulations to all the spring brides this season and to the upcoming brides to be! Alterations for the fall wedding season are already in full swing at the shop!
