We are overflowing with gratitude for the love, support, and prayers that have enveloped Chandler and us during this journey of healing. As we mark day 10 of our hospital vigil, we are thrilled to share that Chandler’s progress is nothing short of remarkable - his voice is back, and his body is responding with movement. Though the road ahead is long, and he still faces challenges such as not being able to eat and remaining bedridden, each step forward fills our hearts with hope and joy. The upcoming steps in his recovery journey include a surgery to implant a feeding tube, which will provide him with the necessary nutrients for healing, followed by inpatient rehabilitation to aid in his brain recovery. We are also looking forward to the day when he can have his skull reattached, a procedure that will take place once the swelling has reduced and his brain has had time to heal.
