TWO Instead of paying $87.50 for a new Ralph Lauren shirt at Younkers, why not buy the same shirt (okay, okay . . .someone else may have worn it already) for a TENTH of the price? At the Green Door, the Big Ticket Items are in the twenty dollar range. You can get suits and coats and sports jackets and lamps and lamp shades all for well under twenty dollars. Vernon on the old Lincoln Highway takes under 15 minutes. You can't even drive from one side of Cedar Rapids to the other in the same amount of time. Vernon has many small speciality shops and is, of course, home to the famed Lincoln Cafe.
