Harrison Limited

Harrison Limited Contrary to popular belief, clothes do not make the man. The thread that binds our character goes much deeper than what we wear. It merely refines it.

While we passionately believe that the quality of clothing must embody the same character traits of the quality of a man—traits such as excellence, integrity, and restraint—the clothing itself does not make the character. Clothing does not make the man. The master tailor has created us to adorn a much more significant wardrobe. A wardrobe never fickle to the whims of trend. A man’s character is th

e best made to measure wardrobe. We believe the rules are always in fashion. Walk in the shoes of humility. Wear the coat of integrity. Place a handkerchief of compassion next to your heart. Knot the tie of courage around your neck. And place the hat of excellence upon your head. The book of Proverbs tells us that iron sharpens iron. And one man sharpens another. So while we fully believe that clothing of character does not make the man of character, we also passionately believe that clothing of character sharpens the man of character. Since 1991, we at Harrison Ltd. have been trying to present our clients, our friends, with clothing of character. Our focus has always been to provide a special experience for discerning men. An experience that emphasizes classic design and style, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional service. Harrison Ltd. is more than a place to just come in and buy something. Of course, we appreciate that. But we started this journey to be something more than that. We wanted a place where relationships were woven over time. It is about fashion, yes. But it is indeed about friendships as well. This symbol for our store is a simple hat upon a simple chair. A symbol for traditional, elegant fashion rests upon a symbol that clearly says, “It’s okay to sit down and chat for a spell.”

One without the other just seems incomplete. We look forward to seeing you soon.

For years we carried a camp moc we were proud of. When that run ended, we didn’t rush to replace it. A camp moc is a simple shoe, but a good one is harder to find than it should be, and we weren’t interested in putting our name on something that wasn’t right.

Easy Moc (Easymoc ®) is made in Maine, in a factory that knows what it’s doing. They’re well run, they care about the product, and when the opportunity came to collaborate with them directly, we jumped at it.

What that meant for us was getting to choose the leathers ourselves. We landed on three: a toast suede, a chocolate grizzly, and a honey crazy horse that will scuff and burnish and darken in all the right ways over time. Each one was chosen to wear well and age better.

This is the camp moc we’ve been trying to find for a few years now. We’re glad we waited.

Available now in store and online.

None of us get to pick where we are born. For many of us, we were lucky to have received an inheritance of freedom and independence that was handed down to us. We wish you all a Happy Fourth of July and 250th Birthday America!

We’re pleased to extend an invitation to you for the Samuelsohn Trunk Show, which kicks off Tuesday, May 5, and runs through Wednesday, the 6th. For those who know Samuelsohn, little introduction is necessary. The Made-to-Measure program with the graduated discounts for the number of suits, sport coats, or trousers purchased is back as well. We’ll also be happy to share some light refreshments in the spirit of Cinco de Mayo.

A quick reminder that our Harrison Limited Private Label Trunk Show begins tomorrow, March 10–11, during regular shop hours.

As many of you have experienced, our private label suits and sport coats are cut and sewn in Rochester, New York by one of the finest tailoring houses in the country. During the trunk show we will have an expanded selection of fabrics available for suits, sport coats, and trousers, along with the opportunity to refine fit and place custom orders for the season ahead.

We hope you will stop by and spend a little time with us.
