Emmy has been working so hard making and packaging her hair & body glitter to help fund her first season of all-star cheer. Watching her step out of her comfort zone and gain confidence through cheer has been incredible, and she’s so proud of being able to contribute toward her own goals.

I spent almost 8 years running BBB feeling like I was constantly rushing through motherhood.

Always trying to get into my office.
Always trying to answer one more message.
Always trying to finish one more order.

Not because I wanted to, but because I felt like I had to. We needed the income, and somewhere along the way I convinced myself that every free moment should be spent working.

Tonight, I had to stop and remind myself why I started working from home in the first place.

Is it to help provide for my family? Absolutely. Is it also because I enjoy my coffee habit? ☕️ Maybe... 😂

But mostly? It’s so I can say YES.

Yes to the little moments.
Yes to the spontaneous projects.
Yes to making memories with my kids.

Our oldest comes home tomorrow after being gone for over two weeks, and we’ve all felt anxious about his absence. Emmy has been asking me for days if we could paint something special for Joey to come home to.

And my first instinct was, “No, I don’t have time.”

Then it hit me…I DO have time.

I’m caught up. The orders can wait. The world won’t stop spinning if I don’t spend every spare second chasing the next sale or finding more work.

So tonight, we painted.

Because this👇🏼 THIS, is the reason I chose to build a business from home.

Not so I could work every waking moment and constantly feel behind…But so I could say yes when my kids ask me to make memories with them.

Mama, take the pause. The laundry can wait. The message can wait. The work can wait for an hour.

These little moments feel ordinary to us, but they’re the big moments for them💜

To be honest, even after having a small handmade business over the last 9 years, social media STILL terrifies me. The constant evolvement, the pressure of doing it “right”, the rejection feeling when you see your post with 5 likes and someone else’s with 5,000…

It’s all intimidating. Combine that with ADHD and being a busy mom of four, you don’t see much from me😂🫣

But this banner right here? I’m SO proud of. She’s beautiful, she’s unique, she was planned MONTHS in advance. And now just like that, she sits rolled up in my office *insert tears here*.

All that to say, she definitely deserves a permanent place on the timeline. (And the girl as well, I suppose)😉🥲🤍 I can’t believe she’s SEVEN.

Oh hi🫶🏻 I’m Nicole, and the second + third slide is my daughter, Emmalin. A lot of you know me from the old Buttons Baby Bowtique days💜 Back then, I mainly focused on handmade bows while raising babies at home. Over the years, my creativity evolved right alongside my family, and now I spend my evening hand-painting custom banners, signs, party decor, and other meaningful pieces for all kinds of life moments.

And now, this season of my business is helping support one of Emmy’s biggest passions too 🥹 Cheer has absolutely lit a spark in her, and watching her confidence grow these last few weeks has been incredible.

So for a limited time, I’m offering ALL hand-painted banners for a flat $55! Any size, any theme, any occasion 💜

After doing the math, I realized I only need to book EIGHT banners a month to help cover her cheer fees.

This isn’t about asking for handouts, it’s about using the gift God gave me to support something that means the world to our family.
