Look who is at 75% health today and almost back to normal—She’s getting there— the other half of our shop (Prontees), sweet Mara. We cannot wait to be back in the shop physically on September 4th … I’ve been working on projects after putting her to bed every night very late into the wee hours of the morning keeping on jobs, working new ones and having tasks ready for us when we get back. Mara has turned the corner. First photo in over a week. See you all back home soon!!! 🔜 ⛰️ 🖼️ 👕 ♥️

Well… Prontees was supposed to have me (Gio) back behind the counter tomorrow, Monday, August 24. Apparently, Mara’s rehab and condition had other plans. 😉❤️

We came to Colombia for a much-needed procedure for Mara, and she is now in Day 4 post-surgery and officially in recovery mode. She’s doing well, but healing takes time—and right now she needs her husband a little more than Prontees needs its Creative Designer, Signs, and T-shirt guy. ❤️

Mara was planning on doing this all herself so I can get back and keep the physical part of the business rolling— but I decided we’re extending my time away just a little longer to assist her, can’t do this alone. We’ll be back in the shop September 4th where we belong—and where we honestly can’t wait to be!

The funny thing is… we may be thousands of miles from Murphy, but Prontees hasn’t exactly stopped working. 😂 Laptops are open, emails are flying, designs are being created, orders are being taken, and jobs are being coordinated. The internet sure made this big ol’ world a whole lot smaller (good and bad).

But as much as technology lets us keep Prontees moving from almost anywhere, nothing replaces being in our shop, producing your jobs, talking across the counter, laughing with you all, and seeing the familiar faces of our Murphy-area friends and fellow local businesses. We miss that more than we ever expected. We are in love with our home, lives and friends we call our family in Murphy.

For now, our biggest “production job” is getting Mara healed, rested and back on her feet at 100% 💪❤️ And (my) Gio’s current job title has temporarily changed from designer/printer/sign guy to nurse, Uber fetcher, appointment coordinator, medicine chaser, pillow-adjuster and full-time “Mara, do you need anything?” specialist. 😂

Meanwhile, KEEP THE ORDERS COMING! We’re still answering emails, taking orders, designing and coordinating everything we can so we can hit the ground running when we return. You all know who you are— been as always awesome talking to you. Makes me feel more at home.

Thank you to everyone who has checked on us, sent kind words, trusted us with work while we’re away, and continues supporting our little Mom & Pop shop.

September 4th — Prontees is BACK where we belong.

Until then, we’re working from afar, getting Mara stronger every day, and missing the heck out of all of you back home. ❤️

Working after a long day with Mara during her procedures. All went groovy. Tomorrow I myself am on the chopping block. 🦷 🔪 What we do for clients of Prontees allows us to take care of things (lucky we can) and the work needing to get accomplished never stops. Entrepreneurial small town shop life. Love it. Tonight here I am from the Airbnb remote office in Bogota burning the late night candle. 🕯️ 🖼️ 💪 🖥️ (my fav Colombian rum makes it all the better).

***TCOB*** 🚨 ‼️ 🔔 Takin’ Care of Business for the next week out of office/shop. Our physical work we do in-house (greeting and speaking to walk-in clients, apparel, banners, building signs, printing, etc…) at the Peddlers Plaza in Murphy will be closed, but we are still workin’ and open for business (as always). Coordinating, designing, handling emails, texts, calls and working on a few projects remotely the next week while Mara gets a few things needing to be done in Bogota, Colombia. 🇨🇴 We have already gotten a few orders, calls and projects as it is Monday— we keep moving along.
