This post may be a bit long, but bear with me.😊 Anyone that knows me, knows that sewing is not a hobby for me, it is my passion. Learning to sew for me was exactly like the “give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach him to fish and feed him for a lifetime”. When I was 17, I asked a lady to make me a dress, she said, “no, but I will teach you how to do it”. I borrowed a sewing machine and she taught me, and the rest as they say is history. I loved it right from the first stitch. 💕 When we lived in Louisville, a woman I knew owned a bridal shop. She in turn taught me basic bridal gown alterations. Needless to say, bridal gowns now are not made the way they used to be. They are now more intricate and very delicate in their construction. Most look at them and see a big NO WAY!😂 I see them as a beautiful challenge. Every every gown, every formal, every suit, is a way for me to share my love of my craft. Sadly, seamstresses are few and far between. NOW…because of all of you, my clients, my friends, my family, YOU, yes YOU have made this happen. Pink Petal Designs being honored with the BEST OF KENTUCKY 2026 business award for Tailoring and Alterations is unbelievable!🤩 Without YOU, I would have no business.
