As of January 1st 2026 U.S. states have statewide bans on single-use plastic bags at grocery stores: 12 states so far: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington, with many also charging fees for paper/reusable bags to encourage alternatives. These bans aim to reduce plastic pollution, though specifics and enforcement vary by state and sometimes include local ordinances, with California potentially expanding its ban in 2026.
So my idea is why not sew up these amazing reusable and washable bags that we can use and save the planet! There's 2 options: bag A or B. The fabric used I have available or I have lots of other Disney fabrics available and or custom to your liking. These are super great for grocery shopping and whatever you need to use the bag for. They are both compact enough to throw in your purse, car, gym bag or whatever. Paper bags is the option now in these 12 states and we know they rip, but reusable bags don't rip.
